non! oui! quoi? alors alors alors, tout à l’heure, j’étais dans un état second de ménagère en réception familiale, à l’approche du repas, et comme, oui, comme oui j’ai un ordinateur sur ma banque de cuisine, si si, enfin c’est aussi le plan de travail du salon, enfin bref, dans un état second, en attente oiseuse d’une fin de cuisson, je check mon aggrégateur de flux , et tombe sur un update rubinsteinerien (site http://www.rubinsteiner.com/ , blog le stéréophile) si si, qui parle des beasties boys, et pareil pour moi, pareil, les Beastie Boys, c’est une grande référence, et je m’y suis mise comme il dit, parfois avec un peu la honte de laisser pénétrer des sons que je ne trouvais pas honorables, et pourtant c’était vraiment bon, alors en commentaire à son post, j’ai écrit bêtement que j’étais d’accord, bêtement, sans réfléchir, sinon j’aurais jamais osé. Et.. no way! si!
Alors Rubin, je dois te dire, si si, grâce à toi, on a fait un beau voyage! Si si. Je vais m’expliquer. C’était en 2006, et on a découvert, rigolote pochette, nom en forme de private joke que nous seuls pouvions comprendre, ce disque : 
Rubin Steiner : Drum Major ! A cette époque là, j’étais enceinte du wisigoth, mais j’ignorais alors qu’il n’était pas une petite wisigothe (qui aurait été destinée à un prénom pas croyable d’ailleurs mais pas tiré du Can you spell it bien que ce tître n’ait cessé de nous amuser justement), l’ostrogoth, notre ainé, avait 4 ans, et à cette époque là, on était particulièrement dans la dèche. Et ce disque, je l’ai beaucoup écouté, parce qu’il me donnait une pêche pas possible, très joyeuse et tout, et je faisais beaucoup de route, et enfin la voiture, je dois avouer que c’est un de mes derniers espaces pour écouter la musique calmement, sans faire trente six autres choses en même temps. Bref, ce disque m’a beaucoup accompagnée, toute cette grossesse. Et notamment la chanson Schlaffenwagonnet (ça c’est du titre ! ), qui comprend une ligne, je ne suis même pas sûre que ce soit vraiment le bon texte, mais je l’ai toujours interprétée comme “me & the boyz on a ride to California, can you dig it, can you dig it, can you dig it“. Oui oui, alors je me suis promis qu’on irait, si c’était un petit gars, en Californie, tirer la route américaine, moi et mes gars. Et pourtant raides comme on était ça semblait bien improbable. Et qu’on écouterait Rubin Steiner. Et que croyez-vous qu’il se passa? Et bien nous en fûmes, une grosse année plus tard.. assise sur mes quelques écolos principes, nous avons pris un gros avion, loué une grosse voiture et fait un pas possible voyage au far west, début et fin en Californie, passages dans des déserts ( ce qui était le but initial tout de même ). Et croyez vous que nous y écoutâmes Rubin Steiner ? Hé bien non, j’avais oublié , au moment de partir, ma pile de disques prévus spécialement pour le voyage, including Sonic Youth, bad moon rising (Death Valley 69 avec Lydia Lunch, excusez du peu - oui mes enfants ont l’oreille musicale relativement tolérante - )… A la place, on a pêché avant de s’envoler un ou deux Arvo Pärt, ce qui, dans le genre joyeux, est assez raté. Ce fut néanmoins un merveilleux voyage ; quelques images publiques ici.
Tout ça pour dire, que si je n’avais pas émis ce voeux opportuniste à l’écoute de cette chanson, nous n’aurions peut-être pas osé. So, merci!
